½ cup cold water
½ cup granulated sugar


  1. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, bring strawberries, water and sugar to a boil
  2. Reduce heat to low and continue to simmer for 10 minutes or until strawberries break down
  3. Remove from the heat and puree in a blender until smooth and syrupy
